Instead of spending more money on developing renewable energy, the Department of Energy (DOE) announced today that they are launching the Save Energy Now LEADER Program. 32 charter member companies, including industry leaders AT&T (T:NYSE), Dow Chemical Company (DOW:NYSE), Intel (INTC:NYSE), Nissan North America (NSANF:OTC), and Owens Corning (OC:NYSE) have voluntarily pledged to make significant improvements in their energy usage.
