Compuware Interrupts Gomez' IPO. Pays $295M For Web Analysis Firm

Compuware (Nasdaq: CPWR) will pay $295M in cash for Gomez. Lexington, MA-based Gomez sells web experience analysis. Gomez currently is in registration for an $80.5M IPO. It raised over $66M in VC funding between 1999 and 2004, with current shareholders including Dolphin Equity Partners, AdAstra, Doughty Hanson and ABS Ventures. Gomez' platform identifies business-impacting issues by testing and measuring Web applications from the outside in, across users, browsers, devices and geographies. It operates a global network of over 100K locations. The self-service Gomez platform has Web load testing, Web performance management, cross-browser testing and Web performance business analysis.
