National Basketball Association/New York, NYPosition Summary The Senior Manager, Business Development identifies new opportunities for the international media group and executes plans to achieve revenue goals. The position works across all areas of the IMD group, with a specific focus on developing new digital business opportunities. Key digital initiatives this role will support include League Pass Broadband, online gaming and wireless applications. Major Responsibilities • Develop new business opportunities across online, mobile, gaming and television that will deliver incremental revenue • Directly support or lead the negotiation and execution of new partnership agreements • Work with regional sales representatives to evaluate and track digital sales partnerships • Identify and develop prospective targets/partners for digital opportunities that will extend the global reach of NBA media • Evaluate new programming concepts with a specific focus on sponsored content in international markets • Understand marketplace trends, new technologies, and competitive forces, and assess their impact on our business • Develop financial models in support of recommended new business initiatives and business planning efforts • Determine revenue potential for new international markets and create market entry plans from a media perspective • Understand metrics behind successful partnerships through financial and deal analysis • Oversee marketing and promotion of League Pass Broadband Required Skills/Knowledge • Proven track record of developing new business opportunities • Ability to gather and analyze raw data from a variety of sources, draw conclusions and act on findings • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen • Superior writing skills and presentation skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment Experience Needed • Minimum 5 years of professional experience and at least 3 years of business development experience • Understanding of television and digital media landscape including key players and trends • Background in consulting preferred • International experience or knowledge preferred • Prior media or sports experience a plus • Additional language skills a plus Educational Background Required • College degree.
