Santa Clara, California based company Provigent, has raised $10 million in the fifth round of funding. The amount will be spent to develop chips for 4G cellular base stations and wireless applications along with extending the sales internationally.
The current fund was raised from LightSpeed Venture Partners. To date the company has raised $51 million from VC firms including Ascend Technology Ventures, Delta Ventures, Globespan Capital Partners, Magma Venture Partners, Pitango Venture Capital, Sequoia Capital, Stata Venture Partners and Viterbi Group.
