Database Architect

Day-to-day responsibilities include: - Rapid development of scalable, accurate, mixed OLTP/OLAP database schemas for a continuously evolving data analysis environment - Transform statistical and mathematical models into database schemas and stored procedures - Engage in corresponding analytical activities surrounding pricing modeling, user experience analysis, and web analytics - Testing, transformation, cleansing and integration of multiple automotive sales transaction data sources - Liaise with our data partners to facilitate the integration of their data - Coordination with software engineers and work cross-functionally within the organization to deliver integrated business intelligence solutions - Research and apply current domain best-practices to solve challenging technical and analytical problems Required Skills, Education & Attributes - 3-5 years' experience in information technology primarily focused on database architecting, development, and data processing - Database administrator with experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise, MySQL, and other DBMSs - Fluent in T-SQL and stored procedure languages - Solid understanding and experience with relational datasets, data warehouses, ETL, and data analysis techniques - Can bend the Linux shell to your will - Ability to quickly come up to speed on a wide variety of platforms and toolsets - Applied Mathematics background a plus - You can communicate with others using only Regular Expressions - BS in Computer Science or related field - You rock, you know it, and you want to work with people you can respect - Above all: an entrepreneur at heart, self-motivated, with an insatiable can-do mentality At TrueCar (www.
