Each year in May Vodafone launches a new own-brand smartphone called Smart. At least that’s been the case for the past two years, and here we are in May and there’s a new Vodafone Smart up for purchase. Samsung’s unannounced Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 has been pictured today – and it looks a lot like the Galaxy Tab 3 7. Nokia’s Lumia 925 is certainly a great camera phone – thanks to the company’s PureView technology, optical image stabilization, the new Smart Camera software, and the Carl Zeiss lens. The Microsoft Surface Pro is finally on its way to Europe. Well, to parts of the continent at least. Microsoft’s tablet is going to land on UK shores on May 23, followed by a release in more European countries on May 30, so exactly one week later. Samsung’s Galaxy Mega 6.3 i9200 and Galaxy Mega 5.8 i9150 were announced in April, with the promise that they’d be released starting May in Europe. The upcoming Sony Xperia UL has been caught in the wild for the first time, and a few photos resulted. The Asus FonePad just got a hardware upgrade. In its native Taiwan, Asus launched a new version of the tablet today, one that comes with a beefed-up processor and more internal storage space. Windows Phone and / or Nokia fans in the US can now order Verizon’s exclusive Lumia 928 smartphone. Samsung Galaxy Note III, the next generation of the original phablet – is probably the next most anticipated mobile device after iPhone, still to be launched this year. To say that Microsoft Surface and its trimmed down Windows RT tablet OS was not a success, is an understatement.
