Sony Online Entertainment lost personal data of its users as well

Sony has admitted today that it had a second major breach of its data security for PC online games. Sony Online Entertainment, a publisher of massively multiplayer online PC games, acknowledged today that hackers also broke into its online game network and stole personal data of users. As many as 24.6 million accounts may have been compromised.

This is in addition to the hacker attack that brought down the PlayStation Network for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable systems — an attack that exposed the personal information of 77 million registered users.
